Gary created Sole Survivors so every child facing a health challenge could see themselves the way he finally learned to see himself: as a hero. Not a patient. Not a limitation. A hero with a story, a team, and the tools to get stronger every day.
At its core, Sole Survivors uses storytelling as a catalyst for impact. Through an original universe of superhero characters, each representing real-world health conditions such as cancer, autism, cerebral palsy, Crohn’s disease, and more, the platform reframes challenges into sources of empowerment.
